UPDATE: The CAPA presentation of Napoleon Dynamite: A Conversation with Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, & Jon Gries has been rescheduled for Friday, January 15, 2021, and is back on sale to the public.

ORIGINAL STORY:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - Sit down for a screening of the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite and a conversation with fan-favorites from the cast at the Palace Theatre on May 14.

The event, which is presented by CAPA and Cinema Columbus, includes a full screening of Napoleon Dynamite following a discussion with fan favorite cast members Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro), and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico).

It was 2004 when cult classic Napoleon Dynamite came to our screens. The film appealed to the inner teenager in all of us and became one of the most quoted movies of our time.

Below is a description of the Napoleon Dynamite film, provided by CAPA:

Napoleon Dynamite is a new kind of hero, complete with a tight 'fro, sweet moon boots, and skills that can't be topped. Napoleon spends his days drawing mythical beasts, duking it out with his brother Kip, and avoiding his scheming Uncle Rico. When two new friends enter Napoleon's life, shy Deb and mustachioed Pedro, the trio launches a campaign to elect Pedro for class president and make the student body's wildest dreams come true. But if Pedro is to beat stuck-up Summer, Napoleon will have to unleash his secret weapon.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $25-$100 and can be purchased in-person at the CBUSArts Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), online at www.capa.com, or by phone at (614) 469-0939.
