The Columbus Division of Police safely stopped a wrong-way driver on OH-315. Police said officers were alerted by another driver of the wrong way driver on 315 southbound early Tuesday morning.

Freeway patrol officers were able to safely stop the driver, and dash cam caught the interaction on video.

In the video, as soon officers stopped the car the driver is seen trying to back up and get away, but her vehicle is blocked by another Columbus Police vehicle. Officers are then seen ordering the driver to put the car in park and get out. The driver appears confused and after a few seconds, complies and is pulled from the car.

The driver was later identified as a 26-year-old woman from Worthington.

Jewell Day viewed the dash cam video and is shocked by the incident, "When it comes to driving, that's my worst nightmare in that respect. Driving down the road and seeing headlights coming towards me,” said Day.

Police say the driver was charged with a OVI.
