COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A woman was killed following a crash in Delaware County on Thursday morning.
The crash happened along State Route 36 and 37 near Davidson Lane around 4:18 a.m. Police said the accident involved a Dodge pickup truck and a Jeep SUV.
According to Delaware Police, the Jeep hit the truck head-on as it was traveling in the wrong lane.
The driver of the truck was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The woman driving the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene.
It remains under investigation on why the Jeep was driving on the wrong side of the road. Police said alcohol is suspected as a potential contributing factor in the crash.
State Routes 36 and 37 were closed for several hours but have reopened.
