DHL closing Groveport facility, laying off 260 employees
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- One of the world's largest logistics companies is closing a Central Ohio facility, costing hundreds of people their jobs.
DHL Supply Chain, based in Germany, will close its facility on Spiegel Drive in Groveport and lay off 260 employees, according to a WARN notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act) issued to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.
The expected date of the closure and layoffs is listed as July 14.
Of the positions, 217 are labor (199 forklift operators), 24 are administrative, seven are management, three professional, and two supervisory.
