Dublin warns residents to 'not be alarmed' over red foxes spotted with mange
The City of Dublin is telling residents to "not be alarmed" if they spot a creature that appears to be a chupacabra because it is actually a red fox with mange.
The city says four red foxes with mange have been identified in the area. A photo shared by the city from Erin Harris Sweet showed one of the manged foxes in broad daylight.
"If you see one do not be alarmed--they are not looking to harm people or pets," said the city to its residents. "The best way to help is to leave them alone."
Dublin advised people to report when they spot the fox on its website here. The city hopes to treat the manged foxes with medication.
