COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Some internet customers in the German Village area have been disconnected from the internet longer than expected due to a nest of federally protected birds.
Starry Internet said their service in the area was disrupted by storms Saturday evening. When their teams arrived to perform service, the company said its employees were attacked by red-tailed hawks nesting at the location.
Red-tail hawks are protected under the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
The company said Tuesday that services were restored and that the nesting red-tailed hawks were not disturbed.
