Bouncer shot, killed while working in west Columbus

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday morning.

Sheriff Dallas Baldwin says Franklin County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to O'Tooles Irish Pub and Grill at 2:50 am, on the report of a shooting.

Authorities say that the victim, Robert Lamont Woods, was working as a bouncer at the establishment. While Woods was escorting customers to their vehicle, a second vehicle pulled up with two black males inside.

Woods was struck by gunfire and was then transported to Doctor's West Hospital, where he passed way.

Sheriff Baldwin says the suspects are being described as black males possibly in their early to mid 20's.

They were last seen in the suspect's vehicle, heading westbound on W. Broad Street toward I-270.
