Frontrunner Columbus stores announced Fleet Feet Sports + Frontrunner is working to collect new and gently used shoes for Hurricane Harvey victims in need.

"As part of a coordinated relief effort, Fleet Feet + FrontRunner stores across the country are now accepting donations of new or gently-used running shoes and new socks to send to our stores in Texas," said Jeff Henderson of Frontrunner Columbus. "Fleet Feet Houston and Fleet Feet San Antonio will work to get these shoes and socks to organizations and people in need. Our thoughts remain with the people, communities, and businesses affected by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding taking place in its aftermath."

Henderson told ABC 6/FOX 28 that they have already collected over 1,000 pairs of shoes and anticipate over 5,000 pairs by Friday.

He said donations can be made at any of their three stores in Upper Arlington, Lewis Center and Worthington between now and Friday.
