COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Gap will expand its operations in Groveport and open 600 new positions for merchandise handlers and management in 2020.
Gap, a global retailer that sells accessories and personal care products and operates brands like Old Navy, Athleta and Banana Republic, will build a new 420,000-square-foot warehouse next to its 950,000-square-foot Groveport facility on Green Point Drive to increase their daily output to support its growing online business.
“Gap Inc. is an important employer for the Groveport community, and we’re thrilled that the company’s global success will bring 600 new jobs to the Region,” said Jeff Green, assistant city administrator at City of Groveport. “Groveport provides the right business environment and talent pool to assist in the company’s continued growth.”
Shawn Curran, executive vice president of global supply chain & product operations at Gap Inc., is also excited about the company's plans to grow.
