COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — A Hollywood movie star teamed up with a French bakery in Columbus to honor nurses who are caring for veterans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Gary Sinise Found bought 250 meals from La Chatelaine that were delivered to VA nurses Monday.
La Chatelaine usually hosts an annual D-Day event for World War II veterans, but it had to be canceled this year due to COVID-19, but the bakery kept sending out pastries, even though it is only making 10 percent of its usual profits.
