Homecoming weekend arrives at The Ohio State University
It is Homecoming weekend on Ohio State's campus. Excitement is building ahead of the Buckeye's Saturday match up with Maryland.
A lot of the activity begins Friday. The Homecoming Parade kicks off from Ohio Stadium at 6 p.m.
The parade route is along Woodruff Avenue, College Road and then 12th Avenue as parade-goers make their way to the Ohio Union. There will be a pep rally at the Union after the parade.
Many of the roads surrounding the parade route will be closed from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, according to the university. For more on road closures and parking information, visit the Homecoming planing page.
Parking garages are recommended for people driving in to see the parade.
Students have been building and decorating large floats for the parade, spending many hours to complete them. It is all part of the Ohio State Homecoming tradition.
