Hot Mikey’s Takeover returns for third year in support of the Columbus Diaper Bank
A pair of central Ohio's favorite restaurants have teamed up to support the Columbus Diaper Bank.
Hot Chicken Takeover and Mikey's Late Night Slice announced they are releasing a collaborative pizza to support the local charity.
The pair first collaborated in 2016 when they fused street pizza with Nashville-style fried chicken to make Hot Mikey's Takeover pizza. This year, for every dollar spent on the pizza collaboration, Hot Chicken Takeover and Mikey's Late Night will donate a diaper to the Columbus Diaper Bank.
The restaurants decided to support the Columbus Diaper Bank because diapers are not covered by public assistance for families in need.
Mikey’s Downtown Columbus Late Night Slice will be hosting a kick-off event on Wednesday, February 28. Tickets go on sale Tuesday. The price of the ticket includes all-you-can-eat pizza and sponsored drink tickets by North High Brewing.
For 2018, they’ve added an additional option; a Hot Mikey’s Takeover Holy Pie.
"This fiery option is doused in HCT’s Holy sauce and topped with their exclusive Holy Ranch to create a mouth-scorching delicacy," said the restuarants in a release. "Holy is only available to order as a whole pie during the week. Slices will be available on Saturday March 10 and Sunday March 11."
Limited edition t-shirts will also be printed on-site by Tonic Studios and available for purchase for $20. Event Registration here.
The specialty pizza will be available March 5-11 at three Mikey’s Late Night Slice locations:
1030 N. High Street | 15 E. Duncan Street | 268 South 4th Street
Social media commentary and photos will be encouraged under the hashtag #HotMikeysTakeover.
