A brand new LEGOLAND Discovery Center is expected to open at Easton Town Center next fall.

In a release, Easton Town Center said the brand new 36,000 square foot attraction will feature activities geared for families with children between the ages 3 and 10.

They said the facility will cost $10 million to build and construction will begin next summer.

“The LEGOLAND Discovery Centers have been a huge success across the globe, particularly as an opportunity for adults and children to spend fun, quality time together,” said John Jakobsen, Chief New Openings Officer, Merlin Entertainments plc. “We are delighted to bring LEGOLAND Discovery Center to Columbus and are proud to be partnering with Easton Town Center in Columbus as it is the ideal location for the attraction - as the mall is already a favored destination for Ohio families and tourists from the region.”

Easton Town Center said the center will offer interactive and educational two to three hour indoor experiences.

"The attraction will offer a range of exciting LEGO play areas, two interactive rides, master classes from the LEGO Master Model Builder, special party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations, a 4D cinema and, of course, the popular MINILAND area found in every LEGOLAND Discovery Center," said Easton Town Center.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center will be located in the Station Building adjacent to the recently renovated 30 screen AMC Theatre.

“Landing the first LEGOLAND Discovery Center in the state of Ohio and only the eleventh location in the U.S. is significant,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive of Easton. “LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a regional destination that draws LEGO enthusiasts of all ages, and we here at Easton look forward to welcoming the legions of LEGO fans who want to experience the ultimate indoor playground.”
