Man accused of inappropriately touching young girl in pool at Zoombezi Bay
POWELL, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- A man has been arrested after allegedly touching a young child at Zoombezi Bay on Monday.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff' Office, 33-year-old Philip Lohbauer was charged with gross sexual imposition after the victim told security about the alleged incident in the pool. Zoombezi Bay staff then removed him from the property before he being arrested by deputies.
Officials said he's also been banned from the zoo's property for life.
“Safety and security are of the utmost importance to us. Our team responded immediately to address the concerns of our guests and we are now working in partnership with law enforcement to investigate this matter," a zoo official said.
The sheriff's office there's a possibility of additional victims and asked families to report any other incident involving Lohbauer to them at 740-833-2830
Lohbauer is in the Delaware County Jail on bond with his next hearing scheduled for June 28th.
