Man dies after shooting at east Columbus barbershop

One man is dead after a shooting Saturday afternoon on East Livingston Avenue.

Investigators said problems began after an altercation between 43-year old Damon Jenkins, and 36-year old Lamar Reynolds at the Totally Different Barbershop at 1626 East Livingston Avenue.They said shots were then fired inside, or near the business.

Detectives said Jenkins was shot, but able to make across the street to the Livingston Market where people called 911. "There were some bystanders that were out there, and he ran to them to ask for help" said Kenny Brown who was nearby after the shooting happened.

Jenkins was rushed to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Lamar Reynolds, 36, was arrested at the scene and is facing a murder charge.
