Man killed in overnight crash into power pole
A man was killed after he crashed his car into a power pole overnight Friday.
Police said the man, who has yet to be identified, was driving south on Courtright Road around 2 a.m. As he was approaching Clarkston Avenue in his 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, police said he failed to maintain control of the car and it went off the right side of the road.
The car then crashed into a power pole per police. He was pronounced dead at 2:16 a.m.
This was the 5th traffic death in Columbus this year.
