Man shot during social media sale dies

    A man who was shot and robbed while attempting to pay for an item that was posted for sale on social media last week died, per Columbus Police.

    Kyle Haseley, 25, was pronounced dead just after 5 a.m. Tuesday after he was hospitalized in critical condition on March 6 from a gunshot wound.

    A man was shot and robbed while attempting to pay for an item that was posted for sale on social media, per Columbus Police. Officers responded to the intersection of East 21st Avenue and Ontario Street, in northeast Columbus, on a report of a shooting just after 9:30 Wednesday evening.

    Haseley's family said he was attempting to purchase a Playstation that was posted for sale on Offer Up.

    Witnesses told police that the shooter, who has yet to be identified, stole Haseley's money after shooting him.

    Columbus police are putting out a strong warning after a man was left fighting for his life, saying they can"t stress enough to find a safe location like a police substation to do your social media buying and selling. Wednesday night, 25-year-old Kyle Haseley was shot along East 21st Avenue in the Linden neighborhood.

    This was the 20th murder in Columbus this year.
