COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Firefighters are investigating a fire at a northwest Columbus restaurant.

The blaze started in a bush in front of the Max & Erma's restaurant on Sawmill Road and spread to the facade of the entrance around 5 p.m.

No one was hurt as firefighters were able to put out the flames before it caused too much damage.

Officials believe a discarded cigarette may have started the fire, but it's too early to know for sure.
