COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and there is plenty to do around town.
In Columbus this weekend, hard rockers are expected to enjoy a four-day music festival at Historic Crew Stadium. Sonic Temple kicked off Thursday and will run through Sunday, when the Foo Fighters headline the final night.
The Asian Festival also is taking place Saturday and Sunday at Franklin Park.
If you're in the mood for a weekend road trip, the Cleveland Guardians are welcoming interleague rival St. Louis to Progressive Field for a three-game series this weekend.
And just down Interstate 71 in the opposite direction is one of the state's most popular events -- The Taste of Cincinnati.
Whatever you're planning to do this weekend, be safe on the roads. Data from AAA indicates Ohio is expected to see 1.6 million people traveling on state roadways, an increase of 6 percent from last year.
AAA also said it expects nearly 3.4 million Americans to fly to their destinations for the long weekend, up 11 percent from 2022.
