COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) will be offering a Sensory Saturday for those who benefit from a quieter museum experience.
Each quarter, the museum chooses a Saturday to lower volume exhibit areas, add special programming, touch tour and more.
Sensory Saturday is open for all ages on Saturday, July 23.
“It’s important to us that Veterans’ inspiring stories, history and art at the NVMM be accessible to everyone,” said Lt. General Michael Ferriter, U.S. Army (Retired), president and CEO of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. Through Sensory Saturday events, we are making a commitment to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all our guests to experience the museum.”
Guests can enjoy a variety of terrain activities as well as discussions involving different types of military vehicles.
Visitors will also have the chance to make their own dog tags. All the activities are created with fun, education and inclusion for everyone.
