COLUMBUS, Ohio — Saturday, Columbus police remained at a home along Larkhall Lane in northeast Columbus after a fatal shooting Friday night.
Columbus homicide detectives say 45-year-old Todd E. Lancaster was discovered shot inside his home just after 11 p.m. Friday.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead around midnight, according to police reports.
On April 19, police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Hasani Lateef Goosby Jr. of east Columbus. Police said he remains at large and should be considered "armed and dangerous."
"It was really crazy, I came outside with helicopters swarming the house with lights everywhere and next thing that I know, it was taped down" said witness Ayan Dini.
Neighbors said the street is usually quiet and people keep to themselves.
They said the sight of the chaos is unusual.
"I thought that our place was being invaded" Dini added.
Columbus police said Lancaster's murder is 25th in 2018.
