COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) announced a new film festival called "Cinema Columbus," happening May 7-17.
The annual festival is being launched in partnership with the Drexel Theatre and Gateway Film Center with additional support from community partner Film Columbus.
CAPA says Cinema Columbus will celebrate new and diverse cinematic works from around the world. Screenings will happen at the Drexel Theatre, Gateway Film Center, and select CAPA venues.
“We are proud to be a part of bolstering the local film industry and serving as a platform for filmmakers to launch their careers or premiere new works,” stated CAPA President and CEO Chad Whittington. “Cinema Columbus is a fantastic, collaborative opportunity for the city’s many film industry resources to come together and showcase Columbus as an international destination for the best up-and-coming films and filmmakers.”
