New non-profit organization helps the aging-population in Columbus

There is a push in Columbus to make the city friendlier to people who are 50 and older.

At Home by High is joining a movement that caters to the city's aging population.

It will provide more resources to adults ages 50 and will serve the Short North neighborhoods.

"We also have volunteers going to homes to provide transportation or to work within the home to do small things like changing light bulbs.

cleaning gutters doing yard work snow removal work, " said Katie Beaumont who is the Executive Director of At Home By High.

At Home By High will also have social events for members to attend, like a movie or game night.

There is a monthly or annual membership fee, monthly fees range depending on what services members would like.

Financial aid is available to people who are interested that may not be able to afford the program.

Membership opens up in January of 2018, the organization is beginning to accept volunteers right now.
