Ohio think tank claims ECOT stole nearly $200 million from taxpayers

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - An Ohio think tanks says ECOT stole nearly $200 million from taxpayers since 2000.

The new analysis came from an education policy fellow at Innovation Ohio.

He said that the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow defrauded the state by at least $189 million.

The state has been trying to recover $80 million from the defunct school.
