Two people are facing charges of child endangering after they overdosed and left a toddler inside of a hot car on Friday.

The Stark County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the parking lot of Busy Beaver on Whipple Avenue, in Canton, after witnesses reported seeing two people lying on the ground from a possible overdose, according to WEWS.

When a sheriff deputy arrived at the scene he found a man, who was later identified as, Cody Powell, lying on the ground unresponsive and a woman who was later identified as, Michelle Hall, who was lying on top of him by his legs.

According to WEWS, a deputy said he began to administer Narcan to Hall and she woke up and moved off of Powell. The deputy administered two doses of Narcan to Powell.

Deputies found a syringe inside the car as well.

They have both been charged with misdemeanor child endangering.

Deputies said the child was taken into temporary custody by children services.
