COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in west Columbus on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 5300 block of Legacy Lane around 6:55 p.m. where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said he died minutes later from his injuries.

A second person was shot, but ran away to get help and ended up at a gas station in the 2500 block of Walcutt Road. Police say he was taken to Riverside Hospital in stable condition.

Police later said 20-year-old Mackenzie A. Litteral and 23-year-old Shane Michael Daley of London, Ohio were charged with murder.

It's the city's 119th homicide.
