COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Police are investigating a stabbing that happened during a robbery on a west Columbus bike trail.

The May 21 incident happened on Camp Chase Trail between North Hague Avenue and Holton Park.

Police say the attacker threatened a female jogger with a knife in an attempt to steal her phone. When someone attempted to intervene, he was stabbed, per police.

Columbus Police said the attacker then ran off with her phone. Police said all involved were under the age of 18.
