Three people killed, one critically injured in stabbing; suspect shot and killed by police
Three people are dead, one critically injured after a stabbing at a northeast Columbus apartment complex.
Police say when responding to the scene they found a woman suffering from an apparent stab wound outside an apartment in the 4300 block of Walford Street around 9:11 a.m. Two other female stabbing victims were found dead inside an apartment. One died while the other remains in critical condition.
Police later found a male stabbing victim n the 2100 block of Fitzroy Avenue. He too died from his injuries.
Police say responding officers confronted the suspect, and one officer tased him. A second officer then opened fire, shooting and killing the suspect. They have not yet released information about why the officer opened fire.
Officers say there were two uninjured children, who they described as "babies", in the apartment. Two apartment complexes in the area were wrapped in crime tape following the incident.
Police believe it was a domestic situation, but are still investigating.
Investigators are attempting to identify the suspect and all of the victims.
