Two shot, one critically injured in shooting near downtown Columbus

    Columbus Police are investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday afternoon at an intersection in the Milo-Grogan neighborhood.

    Three people were shot around 12:30 pm near the intersection of East 5th Avenue and St. Clair Avenue, just outside downtown. A witness said Thomas Brubacher, 39, was driving through the intersection, when he was struck in the face by gunfire. Albert, 56, and Lola Drafton, 81, said they were waiting for the red light at when their vehicle was struck by gunfire out according to police.

    Police say one victim was critically injured when they were shot. The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center.

    The second victim was taken to OSU East.

    Mr. Brubacher was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition according to police. Ms. Brubacher condition is unknown.

    A crashed car could be seen at the shooting scene, but police haven't said how it was involved or if it was.
