GROVE CITY, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- First responders in Grove City rescued a teen left entrapped for hours in his vehicle under downed power lines.

The incident happened in the 4700 block of Hoover Road near Grove City Church of the Nazarene.

The driver's father said the teen was on his way to baseball practice when poles were knocked down and remained live for an extended period of time.

Witnesses say several other cars were trapped under the power lines as Jackson Township firefighters waited for AEP Ohio crews to cut the power. AEP said all seven people trapped have been rescued and were not injured.

Hoover Road between Holton and White roads and Orders Road between SR 62 and Hoover Road remain closed due to downed power lines. AEP Ohio says some parts of Grove City will be without power for up to 36 hours.
