Revolutionary War statue vandalized in Crawford County
A huge reward is being offered for answers after a statue was vandalized at a Crawford County courthouse in Bucyrus Friday.
The statue resembled William Crawford. He was a surveyor and soldier during the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War.
Crawford was not without controversy though. According to Scioto Historical, Crawford was responsible for the massacre of Native Americans at the Fork of the Scioto, now Columbus.
Joel Spitzer of Bucyrus offered a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information that leads to an arrest.
ABC 6/FOX 28 reached out to Bucyrus PD for more information. This story will continue to be updated.
