COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Cinema Columbus Film Festival announced its 2023 lineup and tickets are now on sale.
Now in its second year, Cinema Columbus presented by CAPA will partner with 10 different venues including COSI, the Lincoln and Palace Theatres, the Wexner Center for the Art, and many other theatres and venues across the city.
The festival will kick off at 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, April 26 at the Lincoln Theatre with the documentary Hargrove, which provides an up close and personal look at the late jazz musician Roy Hargrove's tour in Europe during what would be the last year of his life.
In the days following, short and feature films from all over the world will come to the festival including some locally-produced films including feature films Obstacle Corpse, which first premiered in 2022, and Duranguito, which will have its world premiere at Cinema Columbus.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in Q&A session with filmmakers following mot blocks.
The festival runs through Sunday, April 30, and will end with an awards ceremony after the last Narrative Shorts block at the Gateway Film Center.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the films and filmmakers who will be part of this year’s Cinema Columbus Film Festival,” festival coordinator Molly Kreuzman said, “and I know our city will welcome them with open arms!”
