Sycamore school employees undergo active shooter training
BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) - A lesson at Blue Ash Elementary is something school employees hope they never have to use.
Police put Sycamore school employees through active shooter training Friday. The ALICE program stands for alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate. It focuses on the actions you can take to survive or escape a shooting or violent attack.
This session focused on the role custodial staff can play in an emergency.
The training included officers firing guns loaded with blanks so workers could get used to the sound of actual gunfire.
