A man who taunted police on social media last week has been arrested.

Newark police posted on its Facebook page that officers were looking for Tanner Rhinehart, who had multiple warrants out for his arrest.

Rhinehart commented on the post: "Y’all almost had the other day you gotta be quicker than that," which generated more than 1,000 reactions.

But late Wednesday night, the department posted an update that the 20-year-old had been arrested.

"Mr. Rhinehart thought jumping in the river would evade capture," Newark police wrote in the updated post (view below). "However, he was wrong & was taken into custody without further incident."

His most recent charges include theft, obstructing official business, aggravated menacing and domestic violence, among others.
