Markel Davis, a Columbus 17-year-old who fed police in Columbus and Hilliard following weeks of protest and unrest, is now planning on going to Cleveland to feed officers.

Thursday night, Cleveland Detective James Skernivitz, 53, was shot and killed in his unmarked car along with a police informant during a drug operation.

Davis is planning to go to Cleveland Saturday and is asking for donations to buys subs, chips, veggie trays, fruit trays, drinks and cookies.

He also plans to hang ribbons in support of law enforcement officers.

Davis, who created a Facebook page entitled "Bridging the Gap," said he received some online hate from people who said he cannot be pro-Black Lives Matter and pro-police.

"I think everyone has either been on one side or the other,” Davis said in July. "I know I have been receiving a lot of heat from the black community for supporting law-enforcement. For me, personally, I have never had any bad interactions with law enforcement.”
