Two people, pets displaced after early-morning house fire in Southeast Columbus
Columbus Fire crews knocked down an early morning house fire in Southeast Columbus Saturday.
Fire crews said one of the residents inside the home near the intersection of Berwick Boulevard and Haddon Road was up early watching television and smelled smoke. That person acted quickly crews said.
Both residents of the home and their pets were able to get out with no reported injuries.
Columbus Fire said most of the damage is to the garage. The two vehicles inside suffered damage.
The American Red Cross was called out to the scene following the fire.
Fire investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
