UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Superintendent Paul Imhoff said Upper Arlington High School classes were canceled Wednesday due to an unknown odor.
Imhoff said the decision came after advice from safety officials.
"Canceling classes will give safety officials the time they need to investigate the source of the unknown odor in our school," said Imhoff in a statement on Twitter. "We will provide an update to families as soon as we have more information available."
Parents and students were advised to check for a phone call from the high school for further details about dismissal.
Imhoff shared an hour earlier that the school was evacuated due to the smell, that was described as being similar to gasoline.
