Man killed after shooting in east Columbus

Columbus police say a man died from his injuries in a shooting Monday night on the city's east side.

The shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. at 26 South Hampton Road.

Police said 20-year-old Kaleb Banks was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition where he died.

Police have no suspect information at this time. This was the 36th homicide in Columbus this year.
