COLUMBUS, Ohio — Snow showers and a wintry mix have arrived in Central Ohio. Meteorologist Rachael Penton gives her forecast for Sunday, February 10, as well as the upcoming week:
Areas along and north of I-70 can expect to see 1-2" of snow accumulation, but some areas to the north may see up to 3.0" through tonight. Lower amounts can be expected south of I-70, where there is more of a wintry mix. As warmer air begins to work in tonight we'll see snow transition to a wintry mix through the overnight hours.
There may be some lingering wintry mix and icy spots early Monday morning, but precipitation changes over to rain as a warm front lifts in.
We'll see rain Monday and Tuesday, which could be heavy at times. A Flood Watch has been issued for parts of central Ohio, with 1.5-2.5" of rain expected through Tuesday.
Rain changes over to snow Tuesday night as a cold front sweeps through, with some lingering snow showers and flurries into Wednesday morning.
