A woman accused of drawing on a dog and leaving the animal at Chillicothe park is due in court Friday morning on misdemeanor charges, including animal cruelty.

Kendra Stafford has also been charged with animal abandonment and failure to license a dog.

The dog, a five or six-month-old lab mix, was found last month with the words "free" and "good home only" written on her in permanent marker.

Pictures of the dog taken by the Ross County Humane Society, went viral, and the dog has since been adopted.

Stafford's arraignment in Chillicothe Municipal Court is scheduled for 9 a.m.
