WEST MILTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Maples Dues is starting her summer break early this year after more than a dozen tornadoes ripped through the Miami Valley of Ohio on Memorial Day.
The 7-year-old isn't focused on the time off; she's focused on helping her community.
West Milton is one of the communities hit by a strong tornado and as a way to help, "I'm gonna be washing clothes for people who had their house torn down."
Maple, along with her mom and dad, is offering free laundry service to their neighbors in West Milton. "All you have to do is drop it off, we will wash it, fold it, call or text you when we are finished," Mallory Dues, Maple's mom, said. The family's even offering to deliver the laundry to its owner once it's cleaned.
"I know sometimes it's really hard to want to ask for help. We are here and willing to offer our hands and our hearts to give back to our community," she added.
