Palm tree crashes into power line, catches fire as sparks fly; Irma's power spreads debris
A palm tree that crashed into a home in Lake Park began sparking during a live broadcast Sunday night.

It appeared it was leaning against a broken line, keeping a low glow as embers smoldered into high winds.
Emergency services were limited in many parts of Florida as Hurricane Irma struck the sunshine state.
WPEC was able to call authorities live on the air to alert them of the emergency, as the burning debris was leaning near a transformer.
As winds picked up, it carried the embers from the burning debris.
The fire department arrived a short time later to call the power company and monitor the issue.
