PBSO deputy dead, woman critical in attempted murder-suicide in Boynton Beach
Boynton Beach Police said in a statement that new information has been discovered that required more examination by detectives.
The names of the suspect and victim would be released upon the "conclusion of that inquiry."

During the course of our investigation into today's shooting, information presented itself that requires further examination by detectives. We anticipate releasing the names of the parties involved upon conclusion of that inquiry.

Police say a PBSO deputy shot a woman before killing himself in an attempted murder-suicide in Boynton Beach. The deputy's name and the woman he shot have not been released until their family members are notified.
The deputy has been identified as Michael DeMarco. PBSO said DeMarco was hired on 9/26/1995 and was a detective in the civil process division.
The shooting happened early Thursday morning at Inlet Harbor Club, a gated community off North Federal Highway.
The woman is in critical condition at Delray Medical Center, according to police.
There is a heavy police presence in the neighborhood.
Investigators have not said how the man and woman are related.
