COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — It's been about two years since former Mount Carmel doctor William Husel was indicted on 25 murder charges, the most in Franklin County history.
Former intensive care doctor William Husel is accused of ordering lethal amounts of the powerful painkiller Fentanyl for patients in his care at Mount Carmel, who died shortly thereafter between 2015 and 2018.
Due to a number of factors including the coronavirus pandemic, the complex nature of the case, transitions of power in the Franklin County Prosecutor's Officer, the trial still has not officially begun.
