Deer spotted with plastic pumpkin stuck on head near Upper Arlington

After a deer was spotted with a plastic pumpkin stuck on its head, Ohio Wildlife Center said they are working to get the pumpkin removed.*

The deer was spotted by Doug Davis near the intersection of Sawmill Road and Henderson Road.

Davis said the deer has had the pumpkin on its head for days and is affecting its ability to eat and drink.

Over the weekend, ODNR said they weren’t able to shoot it with a tranquilizer because it is deer season per Davis. Tranquilizer would impact deer meat.

On Monday, The Ohio Wildlife Center shared that they will work to remove the plastic pumpkin from the deer's head.
