Police search for armed teen who stole man's fried chicken

    DANVILLE, Ill. (WICS) — The victim of an armed robbery in Danville, Illinois told police he was walking down the street with a bag of fried chicken he just purchased Monday evening.

    The victim says he was approached by a male black teenager who allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victim.

    The victim said when the suspect realized he didn't have any money, the suspect took the bag of fried chicken and fled the area.

    Police said the suspect is described as a male, black teenager who was last seen wearing a gray jacket and dark-colored pants with a white stripe.

    No injuries were reported. Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact the Danville PD at 217-431-2250.
