House hunting? Here's what $500,000 will get you in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- When it comes to real estate in Central Ohio, it's all about location, location, location!
According to local realtors, roughly a third of all houses up for sale right now are selling for $400,000 or more. The closer you get to downtown Columbus, typically the higher the price tag.
"As you get downtown, for the pricepoint, you get a little bit less space than you would in the suburbs," said Stephen Dial, of Meyer and Dial of Cutler Real Estate. "So you are living a little bit more compact. But you can't beat the view, and the walkability and the new riverfront, which is outstanding."
Dial said on average homes in the $400,000 and up range can spend 80 plus days on the market.
Spring is the busiest time of the year for home sales.
