Caught In The Act: Strangers drive off with store's supply of tire rims

    Columbus Police are looking for information after a man and woman were caught on surveillance camera driving off with more than $1,000 worth of tire rims from a South Columbus tire store.

    "I don't know this guy, I don't know who this is, we've never seen him," said Karwan Awmar, the manager of Williams Tires on Williams Rd.

    Awmar says a two strangers pulled up in a red late 1990s Ford F-150 pick-up truck shortly after the business closed it's doors Monday evening.

    Surveillance cameras captured a man and woman get out of the truck and take more than two dozen tire rims that were piled behind the building worth more than $1,500.

    Awmar tells ABC 6/FOX 28 one of them tried to cover his tracks, telling neighbors his name was Mike, and he was at the store to pick up the tire rims.

    Amwar says he does not know the guy and never hired him.

    The store filed a theft report with Columbus Police.
