Many a Buckeye has used their platform for good. Former Buckeye linebacker Obie Stillwell is doing so long after his football days. His Breakfast Club has been hosting networking events since the summer of 2015.Thursday morning's event in the Ohio Stadium recruiting room revealed a partnership of sorts as Crawford Hoying principal Bobby Hoying, a guest on the panel, told ABC-6 he reached out to Stillwell following the death of George Floyd."As I said in the program sometimes for white people it's an uncomfortable topic at times but once you're in a comfortable spot to talk about it I think that's how we learn and get better," Hoying told ABC-6 following the two hour program.Stillwell is trying to open the door to discussion between a lot of divergent groups. Regarding Hoying, "He said can you help navigate me as I try to lead my company and help me to understand maybe what our next steps should be in bridging the gap in race relations and racial reconciliation."Hoying said his 250 employees at Crawford Hoying and Bracket Builders "have gotten so much out of the time spent talking about it."Stillwell referred an African-American colleague to Crawford Hoying and that colleague has had two meetings with the construction and real estate company about partnering on a future project.
