Blue Jackets: Werenski laces em up in first NHL All-Star game in Tampa

TAMPA, FL -- He was glad to be there but wasn't so keen on how it happened.

Blue Jackets defenseman Zac Werenski replaced an under-the-weather Seth Jones for the NHL All-Star weekend in Tampa.

Saturday Werenski took part in the fastest skater competition and placed 6th to the winner Connor McDavid.

On Sunday Werenski recorded an assist in the Metro Division's 7-4 loss to the Atlantic.

The Atlantic lost, 5-2 to the Pacific in the finals.
